Bugaboo is growing up!

The last few days have been a whirl wind! Fourth of July at the in-laws, fireworks, grilling out, homemade ice cream, and apple-pear pie! Oh my! We had a great weekend away at the in laws.

As soon as I got back (actually while I was at my in laws) I started designing more new stickers. I'm super excited to get these new stickers listed in my shop. I'm obsessed with creating new ones, checking to see how many people have viewed my Etsy shop (Mamasgottaplan.etsy.com), and Instagram. I've got to get control of myself! :) Here are a few pictures of items I've been working on....

Along with new sticker designs, I have tons of ideas of things I want to try running through my head. I'm having to keep a notebook with me all the time to keep track of my ideas, because let's face it - if I don't write it down, I'm going to forget it.

So, in the midst of my sticker craziness, I realized that it's time - actually, past time - to start getting down and dirty planning my Bugaboo's 4th birthday. He originally told us he wanted an Avenger party. We bought some of the decorations, plates, etc. I started working on decorations and printing them....then, he changed his mind. I'm okay with it because, honestly, I don't have that much planned and completed for his party. So, I'm going to go with the flow on this one. Now, he wants "an animal party". He has been watching nature shows with his Daddy and is really getting into tigers, elephants, etc. So, I'm going with a Safari/Jungle theme party now. I'm kinda glad because it's not such a "big boy" theme. Tonight, I've been trying to design an invitation that doesn't look so babyish. All the clipart I can find seems to be geared towards one/two year parties or baby showers. I'm going to have to do some research on this. But, in the meantime, I made a printable for myself to keep track of who we need to invite to his party. Normally, invites wouldn't be a big deal. This year, though, Bugaboo wants to invite his T-Ball team. So, I need to have a definite, written-out list of who we are inviting. If any of you are interested, I've included the free printable here for you to use:

I'd love to hear feedback from ya'll ~ whether it's about your kids birthday parties, stickers you would like to see, printables you would like to have, whatever. Let me know in the comments section. Talk to ya'll soon!

Introducing...Me!

Hi everyone! My name is Melanie and I'm starting this blog so that I can document several different things...my life, my son, my business, my passions, etc.

So, first of all, I'm a wife. I've been married to my wonderful hubby for almost 6 years and together for almost 12 years.Together, we have a gorgeous little boy. He keeps us on our toes for sure!
I'm currently a SAHM, formerly a 7th and 8th grade English teacher. I had to quit my teaching career as my chronic migraine condition worsened.

One of my biggest hobbies and passions in life has always been crafts. Recently, I stumbled into the planner community.Wow!!! I had no idea what a big community it is. The planner community introduced me to the most amazing machine I've ever seen.... The Silouhette Cameo. After thinking and thinking about it, I finally decided to purchase one and I haven't looked back. I started playing with different aspects of it, learning what it could do. The most intriguing aspect I've found is the sticker making world. I will admit it. I am a sticker making addict. I've recently opened up my first Etsy shop and I'm loving every bit of it. I've got a list a mile long of stickers I want to make and add to the shop, and hopefully I'll be able to find the time to add every one of them. I want the shop to have stickers that planners and scrapbookers want, and most of all stickers that other shops don't sell. So, if you have any requests for stickers that you just can't find anywhere, please feel free to let me know. And, if you have a minute jump over to Etsy and take a look at my shop: www.mamasgottaplan.etsy.com

I'm just getting this blog up and going, but I will be adding more content. What kinds of printables do you want to see here? What kinds of posts? You let me know!

Anywho, thanks for reading and please leave comments about anything and everything you would like to see on this blog. I'll leave you with some of the cuteness I posted in my shop today.
